The Air Force 1 by Tony: Inspired by strength, created by Tony

Tony's Air Force 1 '07 DB Men's Shoe hails from the Doernbecher Freestyle program, a partnership between Nike and Doernbecher Children's Hospital. With a little help from Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, 11-year-old Tony Signorelli was able to create the shoe of his wildest dreams, a design that embraces the Air Force 1 and tells his story.

Design
This Air Force 1 is bursting with character—just like Tony. The aspiring secret-agent-actor-paleontologist represents his love for spicy food with a bold red color, and he shows off his vivid imagination with a dragon-inspired Swoosh. He even adds an image of a brain neuron at the outsole to symbolize his rare brain disorder. A closer look at this shoe reveals, in encrypted form, the message Tony lives by: "Think positive, and positive happens."

Burn Rubber x New Balance 580 (Video)

So here is what you all have been waiting for. We are the first to take a up close and in depth look at the collaboration with Detroit's hottest sneaker boutique and New Balance. Read below from the bio from their site and check out the video.

New Balance for Burn Rubber | MT580 Collaboration | Available 11/26/10

Historically the New Balance MT580 is a shoe released out of Asia with various collaborators. This marks the first time that the shoe has been collaborated on and brought through by the New Balance America team.

In business since 2004 Burn Rubber is Metro Detroit’s first premium sneaker boutique. The Burn Rubber name is a play on a phrase from the Motor City’s car culture. The name came from the comparison of the use of sneakers on a person to the use of tires on a car. Burn Rubber is known throughout their community as the place to get hard to find, limited edition sneakers and clothing.

Burn Rubber made the shoe their own by applying a shop colored theme and utilizing materials in unique ways. The custom designed argyle pattern that lines the inside of the shoe was created to incorporate all of the company’s branded colors. A reflective 3M material, originally developed to reflect light for night running, was also used throughout the mostly gray shoe to give the design another dimension. The majority of the shoe design is comprised of New Balance’s premium nubuck and gray mesh, and completed with a touch of patent leather and a classic gum sole.

As one of the most recognizable aspects of the Burn Rubber brand they have chosen to include the shop’s mascot on the hangtag provided with each shoe. The Chef, originally created to be “just another T-Shirt design”, ended up taking on a life of its own. The photo shoot for this project was done from the perspective of a chef and was intended to bring light to the story of Burn Rubber’s popular logo & style.

Jordan CMFT 11 Viz Air – Spring 2011

Taking a quick break from the Lebron madness surrounding the South Beach 8....Jordan Brand will launch a "south beach" Esq color of it's own. The blk/volt colorway will release this January and the other two colors sometime on February. For those of you who don't know the concept behind this shoe it is a Air Max 1 and Jordan 11 upper fused together from a pretty comfortable shoe.

Just as we reported on months ago about the new colors in the retro 7 that will release sometime in spring in 2011. No official word on price just yet but I will let you know whats going on once we get close to release.

Air Jordan Retro 3 White/Cement

So just in case you were not a big fan of the Doernbecher Retro 3 that Nike released today, you might want to keep a classic color on hand. These beauties will be back again on 1/22/2011 and will retail for $150. I would stock up on that cash now through the holidays and grab 3 pair of 3's!!! LOL. So NIke officially launched their Doernbecher Freestyle Collection for 2010 last week Friday and last night they released the sought after Retro 3. These shoes went quicker than nobody business when it came to online sales via Nike.com. The only other hope at the moment without paying a ton of cash from resellers is to report to your cities local Niketown. We here at SSD believe that NIke will do a restock on these shoe within the next couple days so don't be surprised. Retail on these are in fact $160.

Air Jordan 2010 Silver 3M Reflective Promo Sample

So with all the different player exclusives and samples of the 2010 we see this "promo pair" pop up on the web recently. No official word what so ever is these are even going to release but we thought they were pretty dope to look at. Full 3m reflective material covers the whole upper with a white outsole. Taking a look from the pictures provided it appears as if Michael Jordans various achievements are printed all over the shoe as well. We wonder if these were done up for some type of anniversary pack or all star game event. We will keep you posted when we get more info on these.

Nike Foamposite Pro Electric Green Black Detailed Look

So we have even more of a detailed look from our fellow Mich State guy himself Marqueesole. We can tell you right now that this will be an instant love/hate shoe fresh out the box!! These electric green joints popped up a few months ago on the menu for what Nike is going to serve the people sometime in Spring 2011. The question is that do you think these will sit on shelved just due to the royal blue and the pewters will be out months before it? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Air Jordan Cement Box Returns in 2011

So it appears as if somethings might be on the rise yet again for Jordan Brand. It has been one of the most talked about things when it comes to Jordan's over the last few years....when will we see a different box? Well, for those OG heads out there that go way back and even lovers of Jordans current day will respect this blast from the past.

Below are early shots of a possible remake of the early 90's box tops that Jordan's use to come packaged in. Expect to see a little twist from Jordan with some of the 2011 releases. We personally can't wait until they start doing this! So for all of you all that paid a higher premium just to get the shoes 2-3months earlier just might be kickin yourself....or maybe not. Doernbecher Freestyle Collection Part 1

Get ready for Friday madness. On top of the Black Air Force 1's Foamposites releasing, Bin VII's, and the Flint Grey 13's you can't forget about the kids!!! Nike will release the first part of the Doernbecher Freestyle collection at select Niketown locations and Nike.com. Expect these to sell pretty good if not completely sell out. The quality is sick on these by the way so don't sleep. Like we said a while back, this might be the first time in almost 10 years that we cop an Air Force 1 again! Check out the pics below and get ready to hit that "check out" button with the quickness at midnight tomorrow.

Autopsy of the Nike Dunk Pro SB

This video hit the web almost a week ago and is currently catching a ton of attention. Nike SB line is really stepping their quality control game up for 2011. Even thought the only changes we've seen so far is adding zoom air and a cushioned tongue, Nike we are sure is going to have some tricks up their sleeves. Check out the video below and peep the pictures of the new Dunk Pro that will release sometime in January of 2011. We will keep the streets posted.

Air Jordan 13 “Playoffs”

So this is one Jordan out of the 13 series that we are really looking forward to them bringing back. They still have a tentative date for sometime in Feb of 2011 but could change at any time. This particular color Jordan broke out during the 1998 All Star Game and rocked a low top version of the shoe in certain games throughout the Bulls playoff run that year as well. Retail will be $160 once it drops but we will keep you posted with detailed shots once we get our hands on a pair early.

Doernbecher Jordan 3 – New Release Date (AGAIN)

Alright people...so this will be the 3rd time now we would have reported on another release date change with this doernbecher 3 from Jordan Brand. The new release date now has been pushed up again to Dec 4th. Retail will still be $160 and shoes are only going to be at select Nikestore/Niketown and .com at the stroke of midnight! GET READY!
