NIKE LUNAR ORBIT+ SPRING 2011 LINEUP

The Lunar technology has taken off and does not look like it's slowing down anytime soon. These Lunar Orbits may not be for everybody but there are heads out there that will grab these up with the quickness. They are pretty much a Lunarlon-supported moccasin mixed with a footscape type design with the side zip instead of traditional laces. Air Jordan Retro VII 7 Bordeaux Detailed Look

We here @SSD are personally going to go crazy on these come summer. Just like we reported on last year once we caught wind that these are to make a come back since it's original release in the early 90's. This color is yet to be retroed out of the 7 collection but will be available to the streets within months. Retail will more thank likely be around $150 once they drop. We plan on picking up quite a few pair of these.Enjoy the pictures below...the colors used are pretty much on point with the OG. Thank you Jordan Brand!

Nike Air Max LeBron VIII (8) V2 Entourage

Pictures were caught online last year by the man himself DJ Clark Kent when he posted up a twitpic of them on foot. The whole concept behind these V2 "Entourage" editions came from one of Lebron's favorite HBO series show Entourage. No official word yet if these are going to release to the public at the moment but keep checking back for updates. Notice something as simple as the Entourage book cover colors took the inspiration behind them using the type of colors they did.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI (6) OC

Yet another Kobe color that will be hitting the market shortly. Inspired by the OC, or, Orange County, the OC Nike Zoom Kobe VI features a bright Orange gradient upper with a Grey Swoosh, a Black heel, a Black midsole, and a Grey translucent outsole. We pretty much lost count at the amount of Kobe 6's that are currently out and the ones that are still to come. LOL. Thoughts?

Foot Locker x Nike Kobe VI “Test Drive”

Gotta love the Kobe 6! Footlocker continues to bring out some dope commercials for 2011.

THE BLACK HISTORY MONTH ON COURT CELEBRATION
On January 17, 2011, Nike, Inc. basketball athletes from 26 teams playing 13 games will wear key Nike, Converse, and Jordan Brand basketball performance shoes fashioned in black and gold on the court in honor of the holiday.
THE BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2011 COLLECTION
This collection of footwear and apparel celebrates pioneering athletes Kobe Bryant, Julius “Dr. J” Erving, and Michael Jordan who each made major impacts on their sport both on and off the court. It is inspired by their amazing careers and the iconic moments that altered the course of sports history. For Kobe, besides his championships, it was in ’06 when he scored 81 points in a single game. For Erving, that moment was unifying the ABA and NBA ushering in a new era of offense with his foul line dunk during the ‘76 ABA All-Star Dunk Contest, and his “Rock the Baby” dunk during the ’83 NBA championships. For Jordan, in addition to winning six championships, it was winning the ’87 Slam Dunk title with flair that inspired kids everywhere. To symbolize their legacies, the collection highlights:
* Modern Gold to represent all three pioneers’ championship call to greatness.
* Historic Black to recall the black Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers commonly worn by basketball pioneers in the 1960s; bestowing black sneakers with a magical aura.
* Black African-American Handcraft to celebrate classic African-American art.
Other highlights include four limited-edition iconic footwear models: the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, Air Force 1, Air Jordan III, and Converse Star Player, along with the NSW Destroyer jacket and NSW Dri-FIT tee.
The collection will not be available on Nike.com, but rather with Nike retailers nationwide. If you have posted this fact, removing that piece would be greatly appreciated.
Just to clarify, retail availability details are as follows:
The Converse Star Player will be available at Converse specialty stores, select retailers nationwide, and Converse.com; whereas the Air Force 1, NSW Destroyer jacket and NSW Dri-FIT tee will be available at Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer and select Nike Sportswear retailers nationwide starting February 12, 2011.
The Nike Zoom Kobe VI and the Air Jordan III will be available in NikeTown stores, select retailers nationwide starting February 26, 2011.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘China’

A color that has made itself on the web before but now confirmed that these will be released in China only on Feb 2nd. No word yet on any stateside release at the moment. A special lace dubrae depicting a Reishi mushroom and two Black Mamba snakeheads will be a part of this China-inspired release as well. I think we have enough Kobe 6 colors at the moment that will be releasing to keep heads good for now. LOL. Comment below.

Air Jordan 7 Cardinal 2011 Retro

Just as reported last year the retro 7 will continue to make it's way on to the scene for 2011. This picture below is in fact a sample that is floating around of the cardinal 7 that will release sometime in summer. It's original release was back in 92 and Jordan Brand put it back out to the streets in 2006. Fast forward they have decide to yet again hit us off with this colorway and we are looking forward to it. Retail will more than likely be $150 so stack that cheese if you are looking to score a pair. I am sure we will have detailed images of the finished product sooner than later...stay tuned.

NIKE ZOOM KOBE VI “3D”

Just when you think NIke has completely run out of ideas. The Nike Zoom Kobe 6 will be dressed up this year in a "3D" pattern along the entire shoe. Word is that the material is in fact 3D but sources have not confirmed yet if the kicks will come with glasses. Take a look into the detail behind the 3D kicks and expect these to release sometime towards all star weekend. Remember that it is being hosted in L.A. this year so we know there are a few other tricks up Nike sleeve between now and then.

Jordan Retro 3 Cement Slide

So as we gear up for this Sat release of the Cement 3 Jordan brand will also be releasing a cement slide to compliment the kicks. We normally see Jordan do mock up of their retro shoes in slides anyway but these are made with some pretty heavy duty quality. Retail will also be a whooping $65 on them once they hit stores sometime this week. We will have a detail video review on them once we get our hands on a pair! Yeah...we are a little extreme with our footwear here @ SSD. LOL.

Nike Black History Month 2011 Collection

Close up pictures of the AF1 is yet to hit so apologies for not including it. These are a glance at the special lineup for Black History Month limited edition kicks Nike will release at select accounts. AF1 low, Jordan Retro 3, Kobe 6, and even a Converse thrown into the mix...read the details below!

This year’s Black History Month Nike Air Force 1 celebrates the achievements and pioneering spirit of three important basketball players: Julius Irving, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant. There was a call to greatness for all three players, a moment in time that defined their careers, and changed the course of history for the sport of Basketball. For Dr. J, it was unifying the ABA and NBA with his finesse and high flying style. For Jordan, it was the ’87 Slam Dunk title, the one that made kids all over draw chalk lines to jump from in their backyards. When Kobe scored 81 points in ‘06, it made you question what planet he was from. Each player laid the foundation for the next to elevate the game even further.
The predominantly black upper of this Black History Month AF1 is a nod to the past, because in the early days of the sport of basketball, shoes on the court were almost always black. The hints of gold all around the shoe are reminders of the golden moment we all are striving to achieve. You’ll also find a woodblock cut print around the upper by artist Hele Woodruff, adding another chapter to the pioneer story.
With a premium Stetson leather upper, metal eyelets and accessories, gold stitching, and a clear tinted outsole, you’ll see this isn’t just your average AF1. This is a sneaker that celebrates a powerful pioneering spirit.

Air Jordan 5 Wolf Grey

Looks like it is going to be another huge year for Jordan Brand yet again! The cool grey madness appears to die down for the moment but will rise again come May. While this retro 5 is being called quite a few names on the the internet, it's officially dubbed the "wolf grey" according to Jordan Brand. The shoe will retail for more than likely the $150 plus range once it drops...keep checking back for additional pictures and information on them as we get it.
