Kid Cudi Grabs 4 pair of Nike Air Mags

So we here at SSD are also notorious for grabbing up double, triples, hell maybe even quadruples of one pair of sneaker. Well, as we sit here and bump this "Sound Track 2 My Life" we stumbled across the Cudder himself winning 4 pairs of Nike Mags off eBay not too long ago. Keep in mind that each auction ended a little over $5,000 a pair. Hmmmm...do the math on that one! He announced his winnings on twitter with this statement. "Won 4 pairs of McFly's off Ebay, xmas done came early willllyyyyyy!!!"

Nothing yet on what Cudi plans to do with them but we are sure he will pop up somewhere with them on. Keep in mind this is a sneaker that NIke themselves explains can't but worn but so many times then it's done. Thoughts?

Back in action again...yet another sneaker custom by Detroit local "El Cappy!" The pictures say it all with the amount of clean yet simple colors applied to a Jordan "Pure $ 3" and transformed into the Tokyo 3. ShoeZeum Tour ‘Golden Ticket’ Auctions on eBay

We decided to post this up because one it's going to a really great cause, and two...this is a perfect example of really taking the sneaker game to another level. If you don't already know by now Jordan Geller (Guy holding the dog) took years and years building up his very own sneaker paradise in a warehouse in San Diego. It's been dubbed the "ShoeZeum" because it's pretty much made of everything NIke including Jordan numbered series line up shoes, Nike SB, Runners, OG trainers, and the list goes on. The unique thing about his collection is that he has created these "themed displays" for almost every sneaker he owns and the displays flow right with the respective shoe.

This warehouse was recently visited by some of Nike higher ups like Nike CEO Mark Parker and design mastermind Tinker Hatfield just to name a few. Only a select few groups of people have been invited to visit the ShoeZeum until now. And now for the first time ever, you just might be able to do that. Sneakernews dubbed Jordan the "Willy Wonka" of the shoe game and from that idea five “golden tickets” have been produced granting entry to The ShoeZeum for the winner and a guest. First auction for the tickets went up on Ebay yesterday and all the proceeds will go to the LiveStrong foundation due to the fact that Jordan is pro Nike. The rest of the auction will go up throughout the week.

ESPN x Marvel Comics – NBA Team Covers

One of the biggest storytellers of all time has partnered up with ESPN and the NBA to create amazing comic-book covers of NBA teams, playing off of historic Marvel characters; Kobe Bryant as Ironman, Yao Ming as Weapon X, the Celtics as the Fantastic Four (well, five), and LeBron James leaving behind his jersey are just some of the classic Marvel tales that we all grew to love. House of Hoops Miami Grand Opening Today!!

So in another couple weeks we def hope to report on Detroit very own House of Hoops opening! For now, we will tell you a little about the Miami House of Hoops opening that opened today inside the existing Foot Locker space in the Dadeland Mall in North Kendall. The Nike Air Max LeBron VIII and the South Beach/Pre-Heat Nike Air Max LeBron VIII will release this weekend there as well. Future Sole M6 Launch Party (It could be you too!)

We reported on this story earlier last month and we just think it's amazing! If you stay in or live near Reading, PA then you are in for a celebration. Since releasing imagery of the winning entry for the 2009 Future Sole Design Competition back in March, the sneaker community has been waiting for details surrounding the potential launch of Austin Jermacan’s winning design. Austin’s design of the Melo M6 was selected as the winning submission amongst the thousands of entries in the 2009 Future Sole Design Competition and we are pleased to announce that due to popular demand, we will be launching the Future Sole M6 on today at Villa in Austin’s home town of Reading, PA.

For those interested in attending, the festivities will begin at 3:30 on Thursday and will kick off with a sneaker design workshop being held for the Boys and Girls club that will be led by Jordan footwear designers. Attendees will get the chance to meet Austin as well as lead designers from our team, and have an opportunity to win an autographed jersey from Carmelo Anthony as well as a pair of the Jordan Future Sole M6. Austin’s winning design of the Melo M6 will then go on sale at 5:00. Villa is located at 547 Penn Street in Reading, PA. For those not able to attend, limited quantities of Austin’s Future Sole M6 be made available at retailers nationwide on Saturday the 29th.

Air Jordan Retro II (2) Vero Cuio Sample

So even though the these will never hit the light of day we still thought we should post them for your viewing pleasure. These are called the "Vero Cuio" or "Real Leather." These were rumored to be a sampled version on the platform that the bin 23 retro 2's were molded after. Check out the premium features and details that this sample has along with the removable gold tips. Again, these will never hit the streets/retail but it's interesting to see some of the things they keep/remove when trying to figure out the retail version.

Air Jordan XI (11) 25th Anniversary – 25 Random Pairs Circulated with Embroidered Jumpman

So this past weekend the Jordan Retro 11 All White Anniversary kicks released. Just like we told you in the video we shot over a month ago with them, they moved with the quickness. Certain heads were disappointed that they did not have the "Jumpman" logo on the side of the shoe. Well friends, leave it up to Jordan Brand and Co. to hit you with some limited edition ish.

According to Jumpman23, there are "25" pairs that were produced with the "Jumpman" logo stitched on the side like normal. This information was not really even put out there till after the release in fear of retailers going through their stock and selling them for triple there worth. If you were able to grab a pair this weekend, double check your uppers....you could be sitting on a little piece of change there. Just to make things even more authentic it came with a numbered card as seen below.

Air Jordan 2010 iD Spotted on NIKEiD iPhone OS 4.0 App

Earlier yesterday Steve Jobs was announcing the 4.0 OS for the Apple Iphone. One of the pictures that came up in the slide was a picture of the Jordan 2010 on Nike iD website. Nothing has been confirmed yet that we will see any kind of release date on them, but with these images leaking its just a matter of time. The question is would you be willing to drop almost $170+ for you very own customer color in the Jordan 2010??? Comment and let us know!

We showed you some sample pictures a few days ago from Ty @Leaders. Pictures now of the official "non sample" Lebrons have been floating around. Keep in mind these will NOT release to the public. Check out the official versions of these! Gotta love the Jordan 11 inspiration on these. The thing that intrigued us the most was the fabric material that lays over the flywire on the side panel of the shoe. On top of the black premium leather that also surrounds the shoe, it looks amazingly comfortable!

Shout out to Ty over at Leaders for killing it once again for the internetz!! Don't get to excited because these will NEVER hit shelves at your local retailers. This so called Heroes Pack which included colorways inspired by Penny Hardaway and Deion Sanders. Do you see the little hint of Jordan 11 in these as well??? Let us know what you think! Word Is....NBDL Bans All Non-adidas Branding

Talking about trying to take over! The NBD aka NBA D-Leauge has Adidas backing them tough and Adidas says no no to any other brand that's not their own. They are even willing to pay players not to where anything but their brand. Certain players that chose not to like the ones below still have to "cover" up! Crazy right??? What are your thoughts on this???

Nike Air Max 24-7 (Wale rocking)

So we here at SSD showed you {early samples} of the Air Max 24-7 from Nike and got all kind of response sent back to us. Fast forward almost 2 months later guess who pops up on the internet with them??? That's right...Mr. Sample size himself..LOL.. WALE! No let's not get it twisted, he is well known for not only being a great artist but has a mean kicks collection as well. It was only a matter of tine before this happen. He is currently sporting the OG Grey/Neon green Air Max 95 color. We know that the 24-7's are suppose to drop this summer and will have about several colorsways to choose from that will take us to the end of the year. No word yet on official release date but will keep you posted! Comments now? LOL

Nike Foamposite Copper Release Recap – Footaction 34th NYC

Just as we predicted it would be. With all the hype around the copper foamposite release from Sat we were waiting for pictures to pop up. These were taken by our peoples @sneakernews in NYC at 34th Street and 7th Avenue. The line was insane to say the least for people standing outside for hours at a time waiting for it's release. Very reminiscent of the pearl release last year with the exception of 10 times more inventory to go around. Were you able to grab yours?
