Nike Black History Month 2011 Collection

Close up pictures of the AF1 is yet to hit so apologies for not including it. These are a glance at the special lineup for Black History Month limited edition kicks Nike will release at select accounts. AF1 low, Jordan Retro 3, Kobe 6, and even a Converse thrown into the mix...read the details below!

This year’s Black History Month Nike Air Force 1 celebrates the achievements and pioneering spirit of three important basketball players: Julius Irving, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant. There was a call to greatness for all three players, a moment in time that defined their careers, and changed the course of history for the sport of Basketball. For Dr. J, it was unifying the ABA and NBA with his finesse and high flying style. For Jordan, it was the ’87 Slam Dunk title, the one that made kids all over draw chalk lines to jump from in their backyards. When Kobe scored 81 points in ‘06, it made you question what planet he was from. Each player laid the foundation for the next to elevate the game even further.
The predominantly black upper of this Black History Month AF1 is a nod to the past, because in the early days of the sport of basketball, shoes on the court were almost always black. The hints of gold all around the shoe are reminders of the golden moment we all are striving to achieve. You’ll also find a woodblock cut print around the upper by artist Hele Woodruff, adding another chapter to the pioneer story.
With a premium Stetson leather upper, metal eyelets and accessories, gold stitching, and a clear tinted outsole, you’ll see this isn’t just your average AF1. This is a sneaker that celebrates a powerful pioneering spirit.

Air Jordan 5 Wolf Grey

Looks like it is going to be another huge year for Jordan Brand yet again! The cool grey madness appears to die down for the moment but will rise again come May. While this retro 5 is being called quite a few names on the the internet, it's officially dubbed the "wolf grey" according to Jordan Brand. The shoe will retail for more than likely the $150 plus range once it drops...keep checking back for additional pictures and information on them as we get it.

Nike LeBron 8 V2 ‘All-Star’

Just as we see each year pictures of the 2011 All Star Game Lebron 8 has now surfaced on the web. Keep in mind that the NBA All Start Game will be held in Los Angles this year. It appears as if they are running with that same royal/carolina blue for the team colors. We just so happen to be on the fence with this color and just say we are reserving judgement yet again to we get a pair in our hand. More details and information to come on these for Feb.

Nike Lebron 8 V2 "Home" colorway *Close UP

We have showed you quite a few pictures of what we are calling "The best built shoe of 2010" in past post. As we get closer to the Jan 8th release date other pictures of the this V2 pops up online. The official color besides the "Christmas Edition" Lebron rocked will be the only other general release V2 to actually hit Nike accounts for the new year. Expect to see the V2 of the Lebron 8 to release each month over the next couple months in different colors. Thoughts?

Steve Nash Leaves Nike For Chinese Brand LUYOU Sport

If you have been following any type of sneaker news over the past year, you would notice that select Chinese footwear companies are becoming very aggressive with taking big names. KG signed to Anta, J Kidd left Nike for PEAK, and now Nash to a company that we have never heard about. No other information as of now has been released on why Nash switched or any type of financial agreements that he made. Keep it locked as we find out more info on this. Comments?

Nike Air Foamposite Metallic Pewter Release Date

Keeping with our previous post Nike just announce that the release date for the Foamposite "Pewter" will release on March 19, 2011 for $200. Expect to see about another 3-4 more foams before the year is up! Start stacking that cheese now people if you are trying to grab multiple colors. Nike Air Force 1 Low Valentine's Day

Looks like Nike is getting a early jump on their valentine days edition Air Force 1. Like we pointed out before in the previous post...Nike is getting back to clean colors on their AF1 game this season. This year we see no million hears and xo's printed around the shoe like we have seen in the past. Instead, we now see a leather red upper, subtle grain texture on the trim, a white midsole, and a red translucent outsole. Just over a month out till Valentines Day but do not be surprised if you see these over the next couple weeks or so.

Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 – Black – Chlorine Blue

Pictures of theses surfaced sometime back in July of 2010 and now should be making there way into Nike accounts soon. Looks as if Nike is definitely getting back to more of a cleaner look and 2 color platform again.....clap for em! Be on the lookout for these shortly.

Vans California Footwear – Spring 2011

A few new colors of the Vans Era, Chukka Del Barco, 106 Vulcanized, Style 31, Sk8-Hi, and Zapato Slip are part of the Spring 2011. Check with your local Vans accounts to see if they scooped these kickers for spring!

Nike SB Dunk Low Black Neon Hitting Retail

Nike SB is going to have quite a bit to offer this year. These Neon Dunk Lows hit the web late last year and now your local skate shop should be getting them in this month. Just when you thought sneaker purchases would slow down for a bit....yeah right! We will give you more of a follow up on these once they drop.

Jordan CMFT Max Air 12 Black Fresh Water

The CMFT 12 returns in 2011 from Jordan Brand. This time around it features a black/black upper mesh with "fresh water" accents in the sock liner and air sole unit. These will release on Jan 15th for $135....are you diggin the CMFT 12's at all?

Jordan Flight TR '97 Black Anthracite

Jordan Brand releases it's "pre game" workout shoe for $115 which is in select accounts now. Black Anthracite upper, translucent outsole and almost reminds us of a boxing shoe that the brand put out back in the day. Jordan Brand continues to bring out all different types of shoe for every sneaker enthusiast. Thoughts?

Jordan Classic 82 Black White

Shifting gears a bit with Jordan hitting the streetz off with another life style sneaker. This Classic 82 features a one piece seamless upper with perforations on the toe and around the eyelets, ankle, and heal. The upper sits on a solid midsole with a Visible Air Unit in the heel. Very nice causal kicker in our opinion and should do pretty well depending upon the price point. Expect these to release sometime early spring of 2011.

Nike Air Max 2011 Black Red and Black Electric Green

Welcome to the New Year folks!!! Let's kick this off the right way with the Air Max 2011. The AM2009 was a huge success, the 2010 version followed and did pretty well, and now we have the 2011. Both colors are scheduled to release within the next couple months and retail will be about $160.

Still staying true to the comfort that we all love Nike keeps the 360 full length air unit and adds that "bird cage" effect mesh on the upper making it more lightweight and breathable. Just when you thought the hotness slowed down from last year...we are in for a treat yet again from Nike this year folks. Stay tuned.
