Detroit House of Hoops Grand Opening pushed back!!!

So as we reported on last week Detroit is scheduled to finally open their first House of Hoops location inside of fairlane mall. The grand opening date was suppose to be this fri Oct 29th but now that date has been pushed back till mid November. Yesterday, we caught wind that they were doing a soft launch today so we headed out to see what it was all about.

Unlike some of the other locations that have their own stand alone store, Detroit location is a store within a store model...which is the sales model the company is moving to going forward. Not too much product other than what is sitting on regular footlocker shelves currently. Tons of Nike sweat suits, basketball shorts, and HoH tees. They did restock Jordan Anniversary 11's, Foamposite Air Force 1 (silver), and the Kobe 5 rings were mainly the ones that stood out the most. So while this was just a soft launch we didn't expect too much. Staff there is really nice and pretty knowledgeable about the products.

House of Hoops Detroit....Grand Opening Oct 29th

Detroit Stand UP!!!! Just under 2 weeks away before Detroit opens it's first House of Hoops location inside of Fairlane Mall. The location is going to be placed inside the current footlocker store with a remodeled look and feel for the HoH. Below is a shot of the tarp that is currently up while that part of the store is being remodeled. Make sure to stick with us for the first look and video exclusive on Detroit's location. P.S. Apparently there is going to be a celebrity/athlete on grand opening day...We don't expect Lebron or Kobe showing up to this event anytime soon so don't even let the thought cross your mind! LOl. We will keep you up to speed once we get word!

Air Jordan 1 + Air Jordan Force Fusion IV (4) – Space City Pack @ Houston HOH

Over the weekend Houston, Texas got a cool little treat at their House of Hoops grand opening. While we don't condone Fusions here at SSD by any means (LOL) the HOH had a pretty clean looking color combo on the Fusion 4 and Retro 1 Hi. Both of these played into the whole Space Ship/Houston theme perfectly. I like the white patent that Jordan Brand used all around the shoe matched up with red/blue and speckled midsole to help it stand out a little more. House of Hoops Chi Town Opening!

So this is really going to be dope for any of the midwest headz. I visit Chi-town more often than a little bit throughout the year. This will be a dope addition to hit up along side of the other fly boutiques down there. For the most part they have mainly stuff you can find anywhere else at your local footlocker around the way except for when the drop exclusives.
