Jordan Chris Paul CP3.III Release Info and Detailed Description

The release for the CP3 III is set for Dec 24th at the House of Hoops location in this traditional Mardi Gras colorway. I want you all to read over the detailed specs on these first because right off the back the design will not pop right out at you. To be honest I think this is one of the uglier lookin shoes in his line up to date. The thing that still keeps me interested is how the comfort/stability with these on the court is going to feel like. Apparently all the technical specs which we breakdown at the bottom are set in place so that there is little to no "Break in" time right when you put them on. Only time will tell how these do in the next couple months. Read for more information below.

The Jordan CP3.III’s overall design inspiration comes from hornets, chosen both for their reference to Chris’s NBA team (New Orleans Hornets) and for their amazing maneuverability in nature. In addition to design elements symbolizing hornets, the Jordan CP3.III includes details personal to Chris, such as a family crest graphic and an outsole reference to bowling.

Performance Features
-Introduces Podulon technology in the midsole, inspired by IPS and meant to sustain comfort and responsiveness for the lifetime of the shoe

-Varied herringbone traction pattern allows athlete to have 360-degree traction while aiding in quick stops and starts

-Rubber wrap extends up the medial outsole to protect against toe drag

-Raised outsole tip, forefoot and lateral heel for increased stability during sharp cutting movements

-In mold compression molded phylon heel pod provides cushioning for high impact landing

-An internal shank provides midfoot support

-Achilles pads in interior reinforce foot lockdown and comfort

-Lightweight construction helps athlete stay quick

-Combination of leathers and synthetic leathers in the upper offer optimal support for dynamic on-court movement

Design Features
-Inspired by hornets and includes references such as the ‘stinger’ down the top of the tongue

-Lace tips have “336” inscribed – the area code for Winston-Salem

-Outsole features a reference to bowling, one of Chris’s favorite hobbies, by calling out each shoe’s size

-Family crest graphic on the upper has details to symbolize Chris’s mother, father, brother and late grandfather

-Considered design – recycled materials, pattern efficiency, water-based paint and glue, and recycled rubbers were used wherever possible

After the release of the Mardi Gras Jordan CP3.III, the JORDAN CP3.III will then launch nationwide on Saturday, January 2, 2010 for a suggested retail price of $118.
